Every Kiri smart pouch is covered by a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right.
Coverage at a glance
| Component | Coverage period |
|---|---|
| Smart pouch (electronics, structure, closures) | 12 months from date of original purchase |
| Replacement units issued under warranty | Remainder of the original period, or 90 days from replacement, whichever is longer |
This warranty applies only to Kiri smart pouches purchased new from carrykiri.com or an authorised Kiri reseller. It is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
What's covered
Kiri’s 12-month limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, including:
- Internal sensors, electronics, and circuitry
- Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity hardware
- Zippers, closures, and structural seams
- Insulating materials of the pouch interior
If a defect appears within the warranty period, Kiri will, at our discretion, repair the unit, replace it with a new or refurbished unit of equivalent function, or refund the purchase price.
What's not covered
- Damage from accidents, drops, impacts, or misuse, including liquid exposure beyond the product's stated water-resistance rating.
- Cosmetic wear, including colour fading, scuffs, scratches, or fabric pilling that does not affect function.
- Battery replacement. The Kiri smart pouch uses a user-replaceable CR2032 coin-cell battery. Battery life depends on usage patterns, the number of alerts and beeps issued, and environmental conditions. Replacement batteries are a consumable and are not covered by this warranty.
- Damage from unauthorised modification or repair, including any service performed by anyone other than Kiri or a Kiri-authorised partner.
- Damage from use with non-approved accessories or chargers.
- Loss or theft.
- Products purchased from unauthorised resellers, second-hand sales, or units with removed or altered serial numbers.
- The contents of the pouch. This warranty covers the pouch itself, not the medications, auto-injectors, or any other items you choose to carry inside it. Always check the expiration and condition of your medications according to your physician's guidance.
- Service interruptions. Kiri+ subscription services, app availability, and cloud-connected features are governed by separate terms and are not covered by this hardware warranty.
How to make a claim
- Contact us with your order number and a short description of the issue. Photos or a brief video help us move faster.
- We may ask a few follow-up questions to confirm the issue is covered.
- If approved, we'll send a prepaid return label and ship a replacement or process a refund within 5 business days of receiving the returned unit.
- Please back up any data from your Kiri account before returning a unit. Warranty service may involve resetting or replacing the device, and Kiri is not responsible for data stored only on the returned hardware.
Limitations of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kiri’s total liability under this limited warranty is capped at the purchase price you paid for the affected pouch. Kiri is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost data, lost time, lost profits, or injury or harm of any kind arising from the use, misuse, or inability to use the product.
This limited warranty is the only express warranty Kiri provides for the smart pouch. To the extent permitted by applicable law, all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the warranty period.
Important. Kiri is not a medical device. The Kiri smart pouch is a carry, monitoring, and notification product designed to support, not replace, a physician-prescribed allergy care plan. Always follow your physician’s guidance, carry medication as prescribed, and seek emergency medical care when an allergic reaction occurs.
